Not so hunky-dory

My whole life has been shaken.

I made a horrible mistake.....

Okay so all my photo's of the Australian Birdwing Butterfly are actually photos of the Dingy Swallowtail, a much smaller butterfly compared to the female Birdwing.

The main differences:
The Dingy Swallowtail has a yellowhead, promient white markings with the occasional blue cresents ans red spot at the end of their back wings

Birdwings have none of this rubbish! Prominently blakc with whit marks on their front wings and yellow on the bottom, they also have a red marking on their bodies near their legs

They are however, members of the samily Butterfly family, Papilionidae, and are Australian. And I know all of this because I have an Australian Butterfly booklet.

Although I doubt anyone cares too much, I look (now more then ever) like a right royal tosser, so I thought I'd correct myself

However I am too lazy to change the titles of my photos, so nee

You bowl? You learn something new every day! Actually that was the same with me and competition tennis- they all took it all so seriously and that really got to me. Especially because I wasn't that good so I'd usually loose :D

I'm on holidays now and relaxing (probably too much) so it's been slow here too. But I love it, I needed a break.

Hope everything is still good in your neck of the woods!

I'm actually going bowling tonight. And I'm naturally good at tennis. XD In PE in my junior year, we had to pair up for tennis... I was paired up randomly with the only other guy left (we didn't care who we were paired up with) and we ended up becoming the second-best team in the class, barely losing to the undefeated team. (It was 40-40 and both teams kept getting advantage then losing it...)

I'm pretty good at Wii tennis, too. XP

It's really busy at work, but it's Easter weekend... Still, I hate when it's this busy.

I'm going to try to enter the Pokemon World Championships this year. There's a regional tournament only a few hours from my house and I wanna see how far I can get in the tourney. I'm building a special team for it. (There's a lot of complicated stats involved, I'm going to try for near-perfect stats...)

well sport is not my forte, but I always enjoyed tennis. It sounds like you, on the other hand, are much better at it then I am. Although, I will not classify Wii tennis as a real sport! :P

I have never heard of the Pokemon World Championships, how does that work? How are you meant to build up a special team?

Yeah, it is easter... and my birthday! Hurray, I'm 18! Although down here, easter means no work, and everythings closed

In PE, it wasn't Wii tennis. But I can play both front and back at the same time on Wii tennis without an issue. (You have to focus on both characters to do that.) And tennis is fun.

The Pokemon World Championships... I don't know if they have anything going on in Australia, but you're allowed to enter in any country. (It's mainly the US, Japan, and Europe, where the games are most sold/released.) You have to enter a regional first, then one for your country if you win that, and then if you win that one, you go to the world tournament. (It's held in a different place every year, it's in California this year.)

A special team... Each Pokemon in the game has different stats (Hit Points (health), Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense (The special attack and defense stats being for attacks involving fire, electricity, etc. instead of normal hits, as Pokemon can use different elements) and Speed.) and can be raised different ways. Depending on what you train them on, they'll gain more points to different stats and grow stronger in those areas. Their natures also have an impact on what can happen there. Also, each Pokemon has IV's, or Individual Values, that decide whether they're going to be strong or weak in each stat, and you have to raise them well or they'll be weak. Also, you can put 2 of different genders into the day care center and get eggs that are the species of the female. The babies can have special attacks the father had if they're the right attacks... Anyway, it's complicated. I've been playing since the first generation, it's now in the fourth, and I'm JUST learning about all of this stuff. Luckily, there's guides online!

Happy birthday! And... I thought you were older than me for some reason. Ah, well, that's fine! Enjoy your birthday and Easter!
